The Challenge

Talk to Luke was running on Squarespace. While easy to set up, the platform was holding the practice back. The site was slow, scoring just 52 on Google Lighthouse. Pages took over four seconds to load on mobile, and the bounce rate was punishing.

For a therapy practice, first impressions matter. Potential clients are often in a vulnerable state when they search for a therapist, and a slow, clunky website doesn't inspire confidence.

The Solution

We rebuilt the entire site from scratch using Next.js and Tailwind CSS. Every page was hand-coded for maximum performance, with a focus on clean design that reflects the warmth and professionalism of the practice.

Key decisions included:

• Static generation for instant page loads — no server-side rendering delays
• Integrated booking system so clients can book sessions directly from the site
• SEO foundations with proper meta tags, structured data, and local SEO targeting
• Accessible design meeting WCAG AA standards, because a therapy site needs to be usable by everyone

The Results

The numbers speak for themselves. A perfect 100/100 Lighthouse score, sub-second page loads, and most importantly — a tripled client base. The combination of faster load times, better SEO, and a more professional design created a site that actually converts visitors into clients.
